And now the Fellowship gets to the gates of Moria, where Suethoriel once again steals lines.  Once again I mock the movieverse for making Merry and Pippin into random idiots.  Of course, the movie never actually explains why they even come on this journey with Frodo.  Frodo and Sam run into them in the Shire, and they're just like, "oh yeah we'll totally just randomly go to Rivendell with you, it's not like we have anything better to do!"  From the way they behave I'm frankly surprised their parents even let them go.  Ahem.  Anyway, there is another note at the end, which is in the original version posted on ff.net, that discusses how I'm treating the Witch-Princess of Angmar, notably how I'm attempting to make her as role-stealing as Suethoriel is.

And here is chapter two of Ten.  When I wrote the first chapter it was a sort of knee-jerk reaction, and I didn't really think about how the Nazgûl don't show up again until The Two Towers (in the movies, anyway).  So suddenly I had this character that couldn't actually be part of the story, and I had to make one up for her, and it's not easy.  What the hell do Nazgûl do all day when they're stuck in Mordor?  It's easily the most difficult part of writing this to come up with ways to have my other Mary Sue doing important, speshul things.

I posted this story on ff.net originally, but decided to cross-post it here, mostly so I could put more extensive author's notes and hypertext links.  It is a parody of all the Tenth Walker Lord of the Rings fanfiction stories.  It's based on movie canon, for two reasons: one, I honestly don't think that I could stand to hurt my beloved book canon, and two, most of the stories that this one mocks are based on movie canon.  Some of the mockery in this story is directed at the movies, because I don't actually like the movies.  They change too many things that, I feel, are important plot points and character-defining moments.  So while this story is intended to poke fun at TenthWalker!Mary Sues, I couldn't resist poking at movie!canon, too.
